CRS-Reprocessing Services specializes in designing, installing, and operating fluid and solids reprocessing systems. Our organization is committed to providing our customers with safe, cost-effective solutions for fluid and solids recycling and waste minimization. Due to our sustained growth in core businesses and various development efforts, we are seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to join our team.
Job Description:
As the Project Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the fabrication, assembly, and installation of capital projects, which includes new constructions and expansions of existing facilities. You will play a pivotal role in managing the project budget, adhering to project schedules, and ensuring that all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards are met. Your collaboration with process and electrical engineers will be instrumental in defining the project scope for all initiatives.
Key Tasks
- Collaborate with Process Engineering, utilizing in-house drawing resources or external engineering support, to develop essential drawings such as Piping and Instrumentation drawings, Process Layout drawings, and steel structural drawings.
- Work alongside Process Engineering and Electrical Engineering to generate comprehensive equipment lists for each project.
- Take charge of Purchasing and Procurement for project-related equipment.
- Develop detailed Scope of Work for contractors based on project scope.
- Supervise mechanical and electrical contractors throughout the fabrication, construction, and installation phase of the project.
- Manage and effectively communicate the project budget and schedule to the Global Engineering Manager.
- Schedule and actively participate in start-up activities, as well as coordinate asset transfers to operations.
- Collaborate with our customers’ engineering and operations teams to safely install all equipment, while understanding and complying with unique HSE requirements at each site.
- Participate in project review meetings and conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for continuous improvement.
- Ensure that all work is completed within our ISO:9001 guidelines.
Essential skills
- Job site experience is a must, as you will be leading the installation of each project and working closely with contractors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work closely with our customers’ technical representatives.
Preferred skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Basic understanding of processing equipment, including piping, pumps, heat exchangers, vacuum pumps, heaters, and instrumentation.
- Prior experience as a Project Engineer.
Other Requirements
- Ability to travel; approximately 50% travel is expected.

CRS-Reprocessing Services specializes in the design, installation, and operation of fluid and solids reprocessing systems. Our customers rely on CRS-Reprocessing to provide safe, cost-effective options for fluid and solids recycling and waste minimization. We are currently experiencing growth in our core businesses as well as in several business development efforts. We have an immediate need for a Mechanical/Piping Designer.
Job Description:
The Mechanical/Piping Designer is responsible for designing processing systems. They draft plans and drawings used in the construction and layout of recycling systems. The Mechanical/Piping Designer works closely with process engineers, electrical engineers, and project managers.
Key Tasks
- Work with Process Engineering to develop all required These include Piping and Instrumentation drawings, Process Layout drawings, steel structural drawings and 3D-models.
- Work with Process Engineering and Electrical Engineering to include equipment specifications to PID attributes.
- Visit customer sites to get or verify field measurements.
- Complete all work within our ISO:9001 guidelines.
Essential skills
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical or mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
- Advanced AutoCAD skills
- Experience with drafting of intelligent P&IDs in Smart Plant or similar P&ID software
- Self-checking of the drawing before submission to checker
- Co-ordination with engineers for back drafting quality checks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Project
- Good oral and written communication skills
Preferred skills
- Perform process simulations.
- Good understanding of chemical processing equipment including process piping, pumps, heat exchangers, vacuum pumps, heaters, and instrumentation.
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience in process design.
- Experience with field piping design in chemical, petrochemical, process, or operational facilities.
- Working knowledge of relevant standards and regulations such as API, ASTM, ASME 3, ASME B31.4, DOT, OSHA, CFR Title 49 Part 192, and recommended practices.
